Vishnu Institute of Technology celebrated its 17th Annual Day with great enthusiasm on 4th April 2025 at the VIT Sports Complex. The event was graced by Mr. Ganesan P.S., Vice President of Yamaha Motors, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Nagarjuna, Engineering Manager at Analog Devices, as the Guest of Honour. Sri R. Ravishandran, Vice Chairman of Sri Vishnu Educational Society, presided over the celebrations.
In his address, the Vice Chairman congratulated the students and their parents, appreciated the accomplishments of the alumni, and shared insights into the management's ongoing efforts to support the institution's steady growth. Guest of Honour Mr. Nagarjuna highlighted the growing interdisciplinary nature of engineering and encouraged students to embrace opportunities across domains, make effective use of multitude tools available, and cultivate a mindset of lifelong learning.
Chief Guest Mr. Ganesan addressed the students as "Gen Z," applauded their technological confidence, and described them as the true agents of change. He urged them to think boldly, have a sense of purpose and develop an entrepreneurial spirit. The Principal, Dr. M. Venu, presented the Annual Report, outlining key academic milestones, research contributions, and notable student achievements. Vice Principal Ms. M. Srilakshmi proposed the Vote of Thanks. The evening also featured heartfelt reflections from seniors and alumni, who fondly recalled their time at VIT and shared words of encouragement for the current students.
Student achievers in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities were honored during a prize distribution ceremony. Faculty members who completed ten years of dedicated service were also felicitated. The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the creativity and talent of VIT students, and leaving the audience with lasting memories of a joyous evening.
