Title: AICTE Sponsored Two Week Online FDP on Reliability Engineering and System Safety ( Mode)

The FDP was organized in 3 slots with atmost 30 participants participations in each slot. The complexity and sophistication of modern system/network and the severity of environment scenario conditions under which the system have to operate have made the task of designing extremely difficult. To achieve high quality level, performance-cost ratio, attention must be paid to factors of influence like, Reliability and System. It is challenging problem of optimizing. The outcomes help professionals design and optimize systems to meet rigorous reliability and performance standards in a cost-effective way, preparing them to tackle the complexities of modern engineering challenges. The main focus of this FDP isenhanced reliability optimization skills; balanced performance-cost analysis; integration of reliability engineering in design; identification and mitigation of failure risks; system modeling and optimization techniques; informed decision-making for trade-offs; practical skills in reliability and system engineering tools; and effective adaptation to environmental challenges.

Title: Advancement in Communication Engineering Technologies with Simulation Tools (ONLINE Mode)

The Department of ECE at VITB conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled Advancement in Communication Engineering Technologies with Simulation Tools. The advances in communication technologies like Cognitive Radio Optical Sensors Broadband Antenna Design and IoT Applications,, the understanding of the advanced communication applications and the need for reliable systems has motivated to improve the performance for the various communication networks. The special features of this FDP is recent advancement of communication technologies will be explained along with simulation tools which will be useful to face the research challenges in advance communication systems. Title: VLSI Design Tools, Techniques and Applications (ONLINE Mode)

The Department of ECE at VITB conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled VLSI Design Tools, Techniques, and Applications in collaboration with the Electronics & ICT Academy at NIT Warangal. An integrated circuit is broadly defined as a very-large-scale-integration of electronic components to realize a function as part of the system. ICs are at the heart of the rapid developments in mobile telecommunications, multimedia, the internet and numerous other applications. IC design can be divided into the broad categories of digital, analog and mixed signal IC design. In a Mixed Signal IC design, typically Digital and analog functions are put together on the same silicon substrate. Modern ICs are enormously complicated. With the advances in technology, there has been tremendous demand on developing fast and energy efficient ICs suiting the state-of-the-art applications of industry. This faculty development program intends to bring the leading academicians to exchange knowledge on recent innovations and insights in various fields of VLSI design. The FDP is designed to address both analog and digital design aspects.

The aim of this particular AICTE/ISTE sponsored Induction/Orientation program conducted on 01-07th February 2022 is to convey the research skills to the faculty mentors and practicing engineers to improve the quality of research in the area of green energy and the technology behind grid integration. We received a total of 373 registrations from various esteemed institutions across the country, including NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut, and NIT Rourkela. Out of these, 200 participants were shortlisted for the program, with 32 participating in offline sessions. The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony on April 22nd, 2024, conducted offline, graced by Chief Guest Dr. V. Karthikeyan, Department of Electrical Engineering from NIT Calicut. Distinguished session speakers were invited from top institutes and industries both nationally and internationally. The sessions, conducted both offline and online, witnessed enthusiastic participation from attendees representing various institutes across the nation.

It featured a series of expert lectures delivered by distinguished speakers from both academia and industry, with the aim of disseminating the latest developments and research trends in thermal energy systems Prof Shuichi Torri of Kumamoto University of Japan, who was the chief guest, spoke on renewable energy and climate change prevention technology. Mechanical Engineering Department Head Dr Naga Krishna said that 60 faculty from Telugu states as well as various states of our country are participating in this programme and hoped that the faculty participants would take advantage of this opportunity
