Title: AICTE Sponsored Two Week Online FDP on Reliability Engineering and System Safety ( Mode)

The FDP was organized in 3 slots with atmost 30 participants participations in each slot. The complexity and sophistication of modern system/network and the severity of environment scenario conditions under which the system have to operate have made the task of designing extremely difficult. To achieve high quality level, performance-cost ratio, attention must be paid to factors of influence like, Reliability and System. It is challenging problem of optimizing. The outcomes help professionals design and optimize systems to meet rigorous reliability and performance standards in a cost-effective way, preparing them to tackle the complexities of modern engineering challenges. Title: VLSI Design Tools, Techniques and Applications (ONLINE Mode)

The Department of ECE at VITB conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled VLSI Design Tools, Techniques, and Applications in collaboration with the Electronics & ICT Academy at NIT Warangal. An integrated circuit is broadly defined as a very-large-scale-integration of electronic components to realize a function as part of the system. ICs are at the heart of the rapid developments in mobile telecommunications, multimedia, the internet and numerous other applications. IC design can be divided into the broad categories of digital, analog and mixed signal IC design. In a Mixed Signal IC design, typically Digital and analog functions are put together on the same silicon substrate. Modern ICs are enormously complicated. With the advances in technology, there has been tremendous demand on developing fast and energy efficient ICs suiting the state-of-the-art applications of industry. This faculty development program intends to bring the leading academicians to exchange knowledge on recent innovations and insights in various fields of VLSI design. Out of these, 200 participants were shortlisted for the program, with 32 participating in offline sessions. The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony on April 22nd, 2024, conducted offline, graced by Chief Guest Dr. V. Karthikeyan, Department of Electrical Engineering from NIT Calicut. Distinguished session speakers were invited from top institutes and industries both nationally and internationally. Title: Code Slayer", a 24-hour College-Level Hackathon (OFFLINE Mode)

The Department of CSE (AI & DS), in collaboration with the AI Verse Club and supported by Unstop, organized “Code Slayer”, a 24-hour college-level hackathon that saw enthusiastic participation from over 350 students across 100 teams from various departments. Following an initial problem-solving quiz, 30 teams advanced to the final round, which included Idea Pitching and Project Development & Deployment phases. Participants developed innovative AI-driven solutions in areas such as predictive analytics, automation, healthcare, and sustainability. The event was successfully conducted with the support of Dr. M. Venu (Principal), Prof. M. Srilakshmi (Vice Principal), and esteemed jury members Dr. B.V.N. Rani, Dr. D. Uday Kumar, Dr. M. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, VITB, in collaboration with NIT Andhra Pradesh, successfully organized a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Natural Language Processing with Deep Learning’ from 05-5-2025 to 10-5-2025 under the aegis of the E&ICT Academy, NIT Warangal. The FDP was formally inaugurated on 05 May, 2025 in the presence of Dr. P. Kishore Kumar, Principal Investigator, E&ICT Spoke, NIT AP, and Prof. P. Sreehari Rao, Chairman, E&ICT Academy, NIT Warangal, who addressed the gathering virtually. Dr. M. Venu, Principal, VITB, delivered the inaugural address, setting the context for the program. FDP Coordinators Dr. K. Himabindu (NIT AP) and Dr. R. Srinivasa Raju (VITB) briefed participants on the objectives and schedule of the program. Title: One Week International Methodology Workshop on Predictive Statistics and AI Approaches in Social & Engineering Sciences (Hybride Mode)

The workshop commenced with a formal inaugural session that included greetings, lighting of the lamp, and inaugural addresses by dignitaries. The speakers emphasized the growing relevance of artificial intelligence and data analytics in education, research, and industrial applications. The chief guest, Dr. K. Hemant Kumar, highlighted the need for data-driven research and global cooperation in the domains of technology and social sciences. The chief guest, Dr. V. V. Haragopal, Former BITS, Visiting Professor, JNAFAU, Masabtank, Hyderabad. Over 244 participants, including faculty members, researchers, and students from India and abroad, registered for the workshop. The sessions featured lectures and demonstrations by experts focusing on AI tools, machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, smart city systems, and hands-on training using R and Python.

Title: Six-Day Online ATAL FDP on "Emerging Trends and Future Prospects in Advanced Energy Conversion Technologies and Applications” (ONLINE Mode)
November 10 to 15, 2025
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, VIT Bhimavaram, successfully organized a Six-Day Online ATAL FDP on “Emerging Trends and Future Prospects in Advanced Energy Conversion Technologies and Applications” from November 10–15, 2025. Supported by AICTE-ATAL Academy, the programme brought together renowned national and international experts who delivered insightful sessions on advanced converters, EV and solar PV systems, wind energy monitoring, SRM drives, and emerging renewable energy policies. With active participation from faculty, researchers, and industry professionals across the country, the FDP received excellent appreciation. The department thanked AICTE-ATAL Academy, resource persons, participants, and the organizing team for making the event impactful and successful.

Title: Statistics in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence on focus on Applications with Mathematics (online Mode)

To commemorate the 132nd Birth Anniversary of Professor Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, the father of modern statistics in India, by organizing an online webinar titled: “Statistics in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence: Applications in Mathematics”. The event aimed to highlight the interdisciplinary relevance of statistics in AI, ML, and data-driven technologies, especially for mathematics learners. The event witnessed active participation from 64 members, including students and faculty from various academic institutions. Notably, 25 participants were from Vishnu Institute of Technology. Keynote speeches and invited talks highlighted the latest developments in Statistics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). A 15-minute online quiz was conducted to assess participants’ knowledge in Statistics and Machine Learning. Merit certificates were awarded to the top 3 scorers in the quiz in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Title: Workshop-Fundamentals of Deep Learning (OFFLINE Mode)

The Department of CSE, Vishnu Institute of Technology (A), in collaboration with the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI), organized a 2-day workshop on “Fundamentals of Deep Learning” for 3rd year B.Tech CSE and 2nd year M.Tech CSE students. The workshop aimed at training participants in neural networks and GPU-accelerated computing. It provided practical experience through interactive labs, guided exercises, and real-time mentoring using NVIDIA’s certified learning platform. A total of 50 participants attended the workshop. The workshop was formally addressed by Dr. R. Srinivasa Raju, Professor and Head of the Department of CSEThe sessions were conducted by Dr. B. Sridevi, NVIDIA DLI Ambassador and Certified Instructor, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, along with Mrs. U. Padma Jyothi, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE. A total of 40 students successfully completed all required modules and earned the NVIDIA DLI Certification, strengthening their skills in deep learning model development and industry-relevant AI workflows. The workshop significantly enhanced participants’ technical knowledge and preparedness for careers in AI and data science.

Title: “Clean Energy Production and Advanced Technologies” (Hybrid Mode)
15 th to 19 th September 2025,
The FDP attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest developments in clean and sustainable energy systems. The chief international speaker, Prof. Shuichi Torii from Kurume Institute of Technology, Japan, delivered multiple sessions on renewable energy advancements, nanofluids in cooling systems, and thermal energy propagation phenomena. Other international experts — Prof. Hideaki Ohgaki (Kyoto University, Japan), Dr. Chen-Yeon Chu (Feng Chia University, Taiwan), Dr. Azlin Mohd Azmi (Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia), and Dr. Alicia Sinsuw (Sam Ratulangi University, Indonesia) — shared expertise in areas like biohydrogen production, carbon literacy, symbiosis energy, and solar energy systems. National experts also contributed by addressing topics such as battery thermal management, smart cooling systems, and hydrogen integration in gas turbines. The FDP concluded successfully with active participation, engaging discussions, and highly positive feedback from participants.
