The Eco club of Vishnu Institute of Technology (VIT) marked World Water Day with the theme "Glacier Preservation" highlighting the urgent need to protect the planet's freshwater sources. The event began with the distribution of The Hindu edition World Water Day among faculty and students, encouraging discussions in classrooms on critical water conservation issues.
As part of the initiative, students showcased their creativity through poster presentations, highlighting the importance of glaciers in maintaining ecological balance. 85 students presented their ideas in the event.
Extending the awareness beyond campus, outreach activities were conducted in nearby B V Raju school, where students created an awareness regarding sustainable water conservation practices.
These activities helped to reinforce the awareness regarding environmental sustainability, inspiring students to take proactive steps in preserving our natural resources.
