VALIANT 2K19, a National Level Technical Student Symposium
The eighth edition of VALIANT 2K19, a National Level Technical Student Symposium unfolded at Vishnu Institute of Technology on 20-12-2019. It is a two day pan Indian event attracting students from all over the country. Various technical events across various disciplines are scheduled.
The symposium received a good response with 1100 students from across the country, including the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab in addition to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, registering for the event.
The Symposium started with the Inauguration Programme in the morning session. Senior Scientist at TCS, Mr. Hari Prasad Devarapalli graced the function. In his interactive and inspiring address he introduced the Japanese concept of Ikigaiwhich intertwines passion, mission, vocation and profession as the ideal for engineers. He urged the students to equip themselves with the skills necessary to cope with Industry 4.0.Director and Principal Dr. D. Suryanarayana introduced the vision and mission of Vishnu Institute of Technology and the best practices adopted under the guidance of Chairman Sri K.V. Vishnu Raju and its achievements. He advised the students to make the best use of their time at VIT intellectually and socially. Convener of VALIANT, Prof. M. Srilakshmi presented the Convener’sreport.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement as there was an overwhelming response for the various competitions organized. Hackathon, Drone Voyage, Robo Soccer, Brahmos, Fiksu Carr, LabView whiz, CAD-Conquer, Super Structure, Games & Sports and Cultural events weresome among a host of other events. Active participation has been witnessed in the spot events like Skit, Quintessence, Tarang and Tint your Tone along with Business plan, Young managers, Group Discussion hosted by the MBA management. The airshow was an additional attraction.Fun, frolic and joy pervaded the grounds and corridors creating a festive ambience.
Games and Sports
VALIANT 2K19 saw the enthusiastic participation of students in the various games - volleyball, basket ball, shuttle badminton for boys and volleyball, throw ball for girls.
The evening got off to a colourful, youthful and energetic start withvarious events like flash mob, songs and dance with the audience also dancing away to the tunes with gay abandon. The highlight of the cultural program was a classical dance performed by Ms. Divya of I IT. .
It was a grand gala event the way.
