The first "Research Kick-Start Workshop" was held on 23rd and 24th September 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day at the Club House, Vishnu Campus. It was organized by the R&D Cell for participants from Phase-I, Batch-III, and was coordinated by Dr. N. Padmavathy, Dean R&D. Dr. Raju Aedla, Dean R&D at VEDIC, SVES, served as the resource person. The workshop had a total of 26 participants representing various departments: 03 from AIDS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), 01 from AIML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), 08 from Basic Sciences (BS), 03 from Civil Engineering (CE), 04 from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), 03 from Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), 01 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), and 03 from Mechanical Engineering (ME). The primary outcome of the workshop was training on research paper writing, which aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills for structuring, drafting, and formatting academic research papers. The sessions provided valuable insights into organizing research ideas, adhering to publication standards, and effectively communicating findings to the research community. This practical training laid a strong foundation for participants to excel in academic writing and research dissemination.
The second "ResearchKick Start Workshop" was conducted on 25th September 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the same venue, the Club House, Vishnu Campus. This session was organized for Phase-II, Batch-II participants and followed the same structure as the previous workshop, under the coordination of Dr. N. Padmavathy and with Dr. Raju Aedla serving as the resource person. There were 24 participants from various departments, including 01 from AIDS, 01 from AIML, 05 from Basic Sciences (BS), 03 from Civil Engineering (CE), 06 from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), 01 from Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), 01 from Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), 02 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), 01 from Information Technology (IT), and 03 from Mechanical Engineering (ME). The outcome of this workshop focused on the review of technical writing, where participants were guided through the principles of clear, concise, and structured writing, which is essential for technical reports, theses, and research documentation. Emphasis was placed on improving clarity, accuracy, and coherence in technical communication, which is crucial for effectively presenting research outcomes and technical information. This workshop provided an opportunity for participants to refine their writing skills, enabling them to produce high-quality technical documents in their future projects.
