VISHNU celebrated its Annual Day on Monday, 11th March 2019 with a lot of pomp and gaiety. Mr. Kamal Bali, Managing Director, Volvo India Group, was the Chief Guest on this occasion and the Guest of Honour was Ms.Vanitha Datla, Vice-Chairperson, Elico Ltd. Sri K.V.Vishnu Raju, Chairman of SVES, Sri Ravichandran, Vice-Chairman of SVES and Dr.D.Suryanarayana, the Director and Principal of VIT graced the occasion.
The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp and offering the floral tributes to the founder chairman Dr.B.V.Raju garu. Then, the Director and Principal, Dr.D.Suryanarayana introduced the Chief Guest to the audience, delivered the welcome address and presented the annual report. During the celebrations, the Chief Guest pointed that India has an advantage of Demographic Dividend and the youth must be well-trained to reach their targets. He also advised that the youth should fix a goal and strive for it every day with hard word and determination. Ms.Vanitha Datla, the Guest of Honour, called for a change in attitude of both parents and students and asked them to respect the dignity of the girls. She also encouraged girls to speak up their mind and live with courage. Sri K.V.Vishnu Raju, the Chairman of SVES, advised that the students must improve their skills by using every facility provided by the management and settle well in their life. Sri Ravichandran Rajagopalan, the Vice-chairman of SVES said that VIT is the youngest institution in the campus but it showed a lot of progress in a short span of time and he appreciated all the stakeholders in their painstaking efforts. He also mentioned that the students of Vishnu are entering diverse fields like the Army, Film Industry, etc.
These speeches were followed by the prize distribution ceremony where the Chief Guest as well as the Guest of Honour gave away the prizes to the academically meritorious students and winners of different Games and Sports. Finally, the event closed with several cultural events by the Vishnu students which exhibited the talent and energy of the students of Vishnu Institute of Technology.
