CSE Team Wins Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon 2025

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement as students of Vishnu Institute of Technology (Autonomous) secured WINNER (1st Place) at the National Grand Finale of the Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon, a prestigious national-level competition that witnessed participation from multiple states across India and attracted nearly 50,000 student innovators.

A proud highlight of this achievement was receiving recognition and interaction opportunity with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and a special invitation to witness the Laying stone ceremony of Amaravati Quantum valley at Amaravati marking a defining moment for the students and the institution.

The team had earlier demonstrated excellence by emerging as Winners in the Semifinals, organized by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education at SRKR Engineering College, and continued their outstanding performance to achieve national success. Competing among 100 finalist teams across 10 national problem statements, the team’s journey reflects dedication, innovation, and strong technical expertise in quantum technologies.

The winning team comprised IV-year students – Korrapati Thirumala Narasimha Naidu, Pavan Maddula, Gottumukkala Dheeraj Varma, Soma Sekhar Pandu Ranga Raju, P Gowthami Tirumalareddy (III B.Tech), and Pujya Nigama Reddy (II B.Tech), whose collaborative efforts and technical excellence were instrumental in achieving this success. The team was mentored by Shaik Mahaboob Hussain, Assistant Professor, CSE, reflecting the department’s commitment to innovation, research excellence, and leadership in emerging technologies, particularly in quantum computing.
