About the Conference

Civil Engineering department at Vishnu Institute of Technology-Bhimavaram is organizing International Conference on Materials Innovation and Sustainable Infrastructure (ICMISI 2023) on 2nd & 3rd, February 2024. Sustainable infrastructure is crucial for mitigating environmental challenges, such as climate change, resource depletion, and pollution. The conference explores how materials innovation and emerging technologies can contribute to mitigating these challenges by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing waste generation, optimizing resource use, and enhancing the resilience of infrastructure. Vishnu Institute of Technology (Autonomous)

Vishnu Institute of Technology was established in 2008 by Sri Vishnu Educational Society (SVES), a leading educational trust to promote quality education, under the aegis of eminent philanthropist Padma Bhushan Dr. B.V. Raju (Late). The institute is approved by AICTE and is permanently affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada. Over a decade, this institute has witnessed significant growth and stands out as one of the best engineering colleges in AP. This institute is accredited by NAAC twice with 'A++' grade (3.51/4) with its validity up to 2024. The institute has attained autonomous status for 10 years from the year 2019. Indian Merchant's Chamber (IMC) recognized the services of VITB with its Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality award in education sector (2010, 2011, 2017) and Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO)-Best in class Award (2012, 2018).

About Civil Engineering Department

The Department of Civil Engineering pulls out all stops to create outstanding engineers - with advanced teaching techniques and learning aids for undergraduate students. CIVILENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of the institute started functioning right from the inception of the institute, in the year 2011. Students are not only made experts in technical aspects but also in interpersonal skills, a vital ingredient to excel in the fast-paced world.

Students gain practical experience from field visits to industries, dams and irrigation structures, construction sites, etc. Our teaching-learning process, involves industry experts and adjunct faculties to enhance the student's knowledge and also targets to bridge the gap that exists between academic curriculum and industrial demands. Students are motivated to take up research projects, to carry out regular industrial and field visits, to present papers in academic conferences which will enable them to excel in their selected career.
