Vishnu Institute of Technology celebrated the National Library Week from 16th to 21st November, 2020. Indian Library Association declared that November 14th to 20th should be observed as the National Library Week all over India. The Celebrations can be traced to a practice initiated by Shri Iyyanki Venkata Ramanayya, recognized as the "Architect of Public Library Movement in India". Keeping in tune with this tradition, Vishnu Institute of Technology celebrated the National Library Week drawing the attention of several students. Dr. D. Suryanarayana (Director & Principal) inaugurated the Library Week Celebrations. In his inaugural address which was streamed live on Micro Soft Teams and youtube, he reiterated that optimum utilization of library resources should be strengthened indelibly in the mind-sets of academic communities in order to ensure their holistic professional and personal development. Literary events like E-Quiz, Ideas and innovation Contest, Essay Writing, Pitching and Virtual Presentation competition were held. Students from all disciplines participated with zeal and enthusiasm. The week long celebrations ended with a valedictory function on 21st November, 2020.
