LIBRARIANS' DAY CELEBRATIONS @ VISHNU

National Librarians' Day 2018 was celebrated on 12th August, 2018 commemorating the 126th birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India for the first time across all the institutions in the Bhimavaram campus of Sri Vishnu Educational Society. The following dignitaries were present on this auspicious day.

Along with the Librarians, Library Professionals and Library staff, several other invited dignitaries from the Institute participated in this celebration and encouraged the library professionals with their words of inspiration. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp and offering floral tributes to Padmashri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan and our Founder Chairman Padmabhushan Dr. B.V. Raju garu.

In his address Dr. D Surayanaraya highlighted the importance of libraries as excellent resources of knowledge and the need to utilize them effectively. Later, Dr. D BasavaRaju, Dr. I. Rama Krishna Raju and Mr. D V SubbaRao also addressed the audience.
