Assistive Technology (ATL)
The Assistive Technology Lab (ATL) in Vishnu Institute of Technology,Bhimavarm,West godavary district, Andhra Pradesh which is in collaboration with UMass, Lowell is a part of Sri Vishnu Educational Society and is a vision of Mr. K. V. Vishnu Raju, the Chairman of SVES, to utilize the skills of every engineering department of the college for the development of Assistive Technology. |
The National Instruments (NI), a Centre of Excellence has been started by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering under the aegis of Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram in collaboration with National Instruments (NI). This centre was inaugurated on November 23rd, 2017 by our respected Chairman Shri. K. V. Vishnu Raju Garu. The NI LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) Academy was initiated to establish connections and communication between different departments to create interdisciplinary specializations. The centre aims at interdisciplinary research programs, scientific research projects, research relationships with other research centre's or distinguished researchers in collaboration with industry .
To enhance the employability of engineering students in the state, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany-based European Centre for Mechatronics (ECM) to establish Indo-European Skilling Centres in engineering colleges across the state for providing them training in mechatronics and industrial robotics.
Vishnu Institute of Technology has signed anMoU for this program in order to establish Indo-European Skilling Centre i.e Applied Robot Control (ARC) Lab in our college.
ARC is the best tool to learn industrial robotics through Project Based Learning (PBL), the most exciting way to learn by doing/practicing. ARC is a student centred pedagogy that involves a dynamic classroom approach in which students acquire deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems. Students learn about a subject by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to a complex question/challenge.
Drone Centre of Excellence is started in the academic year 2018-2019. Vishnu Institute of Technology always aspires to elevate the students in all the fields of Technology. In this connection, we started a student community in the area of Drone Technology in collaboration with Propeller Technologies, Tiruchirapalli. We are exploring and assisting in developing mechanisms that will serve to encourage and enhance in the areas of industrial R&D, Product Development and Drone Customization. We are training our students as professionals in the field of Drone Technology with the association of Industry R&D units.
The centre for VLSI design lab mainly focused ondesign, simulation, verification and analysis of semiconductor devices and testing ofdigital systems for engineering applications. The Synopsys tool provides access to advanced chip design and Electronic Design Automation (Front end and Back end designs with full custom). It also enables the faculty and students to meet design challenges with concurrent optimization of timing, area, power and test.It also exploits to discover new technologies and turn fresh ideas into market-ready products for Smart Everything world. The researchers and academicians can address the ever-evolving challenges of the semiconductor industry, uncover new solutions, and pave the path toward future technologies.
