Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is organizing an AICTE Sponsored Two Week Online FDP on "Reliability Engineering and System Safety" during 15th - 27th February 2021. This Faculty Development Program Deals with the complexity and sophistication of modern system/network and the severity of environment scenario conditions under which the system have to operate have made the task of designing extremely difficult. To achieve high quality level, performance-cost ratio, attention must be paid to factors of influence like, Reliability and System. It is challenging problem of optimizing product or system performance with respect to practical constraints like cost, weight volume etc. Therefore, reliability becomes a necessity commodity that fixes up optimum warranty period to enhance the product demand. But still, In India, this concept is yet in its nascent stage to improve our economy and quality of human life.

About the FDP

An integrated circuit is broadly defined as a very-large-scale-integration of electronic components to realize a function as part of the system. ICs are at the heart of the rapid developments in mobile telecommunications, multimedia, the internet and numerous other applications. IC design can be divided into the broad categories of digital, analog and mixed signal IC design. In a Mixed Signal IC design, typically Digital and analog functions are put together on the same silicon substrate. Modern ICs are enormously complicated. With the advances in technology, there has been tremendous demand on developing fast and energy efficient ICs suiting the state-of-the-art applications of industry. This faculty development program intends to bring the leading academicians to exchange knowledge on recent innovations and insights in various fields of VLSI design. The FDP is designed to address both analog and digital design aspects.

LTspice is a SPICE-based analog electronic circuit simulator computer software produced by semiconductor manufacturer Analog Devices (originally by Linear Technology). It is the most widely distributed and used SPICE software in the industry. LTspice is a freeware, with no limitation on the number of users. LTspice provides schematic capture to enter an electronic schematic for an electronic circuit. It also provides an enhanced SPICE type analog electronic circuit simulator, and a waveform viewer to show the results of the simulation. Using LT spice Circuit simulation analysis based on transient, noise, AC, DC, DC transfer function, DC operating point can be performed and plotted. It is an extremely useful EDA tool for the ECE students using which they can simulate their hardware experiments related to EDC, ECA, PDC and LICA labs.
