POLEMICA - The War of Words @Vishnu

A Debate 'Polemica-The War of Words' was conducted by the department of Basic Science of Vishnu Institute of Technology for I BTech students on 30th November 2013 at Padmabhushan Dr. B.V Raju Auditorium. Principal Dr. D.Surya Narayana welcomed the students and the Judges as well. He spoke on the importance of literary events and emphasized the importance of English communication skills. The competition started with the encouraging words of our beloved Principal. Sri MD. Aleem of D.N.R.College, Mr.P.Sri Hari Raju of SVECW and Dr.V.Rama Devi of Vishnu Institute of Technology acted as the judges of this event. In this competition 110 students participated and their zeal and enthusiasm made the debates heated and exciting. The Audience appreciated the winners with big rounds of applause.
The winners of the debate were given cash prizes-P.GAYATRI DEVI of I-ECE-B, AYESHA. Md of CSE-B and SOWJANYA of CSE-A won the first, second and third prizes respectively.
The program was successful as it ignited the enthusiasm of the students inspiring them to participate in many more events like this.
